Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applied to all goods purchased from Woodbridge Furniture through our online store at www.woodbridgefurniture.com.au

This refund policy is not intended to exclude or limit any rights which you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Commonwealth) or equivalent State or Territory laws.

We recommend you read our Refund Policy prior to making a purchase from Woodbridge Furniture so you are familiar with its contents and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We highly recommend you immediately inspect any goods that we deliver to you or that you collect from our store to ensure you are completely satisfied with the goods, that the goods are of acceptable quality and the goods match the description we have provided to you.

Consumer Guarantees

Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and under other consumer laws applying in each State and Territory, you have the right to have goods repaired, replaced or to receive a refund where it is found that the goods:

·     are faulty;

·     do not match the description;

·     are different from the sample or demonstration model shown to you; and/or

·     do not do what they are supposed to do.

These consumer guarantees are implied into all consumer contracts and cannot be excluded, restricted or modified and are in addition to any voluntary warranties offered by the manufacturer.

Minor or Major Problem with Goods

Minor problems can normally be fixed or resolved in a reasonable time frame.

Major problems cannot be fixed or are too difficult to fix.

If the problem in the goods is considered a minor breach of the consumer guarantee then we will either repair or replace the goods or provide you with a refund for the goods.

If the problem in the goods is considered a major breach of the consumer guarantee then you can choose to get a refund, get an identical replacement (or one of similar value if reasonably available) or keep the goods and get compensated for the drop in value caused by the problem.

Claims

To claim under the consumer guarantees, you are required to contact us without delay, provide information as to the problem and return the goods for inspection/repair to Woodbridge Furniture in a reasonable timeframe.

You will be required to pay for all associated costs (including any freight and insurance charges), unless these costs are significant in which case we will arrange for the goods to be assessed either at your premises or ours at our cost. We will assess the goods to determine the nature of the problem, whether you are entitled to a remedy, and in the case of a minor failure, the remedy that will be made available to you. Occasionally we may have to return the goods to the manufacturer, importer or repairer and liaise with them. We will make every effort to rectify the issue in a reasonable timeframe.

You may be asked to demonstrate that the problem with the goods was not your fault.

If it is determined that you are not entitled to a remedy or the goods received are in fact correct, consistent with the goods detailed on the order and without fault, then you may be required to pay all reasonable costs incurred by us to assess the reported problem.

Recognition of Claim

Claims will not be recognised or processed unless we receive proof of purchase from you, which shall comprise the original sales tax invoice, sales receipt or another form of proof of purchase identifying the product. We will do our best to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Claims will not be recognised if, in the opinion of Woodbridge Furniture, the manufacturer or the importer, it is found that the problem in the goods is due to:

·     Misuse of product including but not limited to the product being abused, dropped, crushed, impacted with any hard surface, exposed to extreme heat (including fire) or cold, undue exposure to water, chemicals and alcohol, or used after partial failure

·     The product has been modified, incorrectly adjusted or operated, subjected to incorrect or inconsistent electrical supply or used with inappropriate accessories

·     The product being tampered with in any way

·     failure to use the goods in the manner designed for by the manufacturer

·     not maintained properly or not following care instructions

·     surface, stress and/or moisture damage

·     failure to take reasonable care

·     fair wear and tear

Change of Mind 

Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made an incorrect selection, found the Item/Product cheaper elsewhere or had a defect drawn to your attention before buying (such as goods labelled as seconds with their faults clearly marked). Therefore, we recommend you carefully review the Items/Products you intend to purchase before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

Goods Damaged in Transit

If any goods arrive damaged, please contact Woodbridge Furniture immediately and we will advise you of the appropriate course of action to rectify the problem.

Processing Refunds

Refunds will be processed by Woodbridge Furniture or PayPal normally within fourteen (14) days.

Repairs

Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time. You may be provided with an indicative repair time, which time may vary due to reasons beyond ours reasonable control or that of the manufacturer, importer or repairer, such as availability of parts, incorrect fault description and transport.

Where goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse or accident, or where your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any manufacturer’s warranty do not apply, you may be required to pay all labour, assessment and/or freight fees, We may provide you with an indicative fee, which fee may vary due to reasons beyond our control.

If you have an issue relating to your Order please contact us immediately.  You will be required to provide us with your Order/Invoice number, date of purchase, current contact details and detailed information regarding the issue relating to you order. We will attend to the issue raised as quickly as possible.
